System Status Panel

The System Status Panel service offering advises on the current service status for major University systems such as E-mail, Portal, ROSI/ACORN, AMS, Wireless and more.

Joint Operations Group (JOG)

The Joint Operations Group (aka The JOG) monitors Mission Critical IT applications, EIS Network. The JOG maintains the System Status siteshowing the currently availability of the enterprise services. The JOG issues bulletins on scheduled ITS maintenance windows, co-ordinates return to service/maintenance completion messaging, receives problem reports, and informs service owners of issues when encountered.

DDI IP Network service

DDI IP supports an automatic and assignment of DNS names, IP addresses, on all devices on a given LAN. The DDI IP managed by the EIS Network Services group. DDI allows for plug and play for all wired hosts. The DDI IP Network Service offering provides information on how DNS is handled at University of Toronto

Network Switches VOR

The Network Switches VOR service offering advises on approved vendors for procurement of ethernet switches under the University of Toronto Master Purchase Agreement.

University of Toronto Mirror Service

The University of Toronto Mirror Service service offering provides local network access to mirror images of open source operating systems and packages as well as licensed ones.

Virtual Firewall

The Virtual Firewall service offering provides a central packet filtering service which will allow network administers to control all traffic, to and from their LANs, from one unified interface.

ITS Private Cloud / Virtualized Server Hosting

The ITS Private Cloud service offers virtual IT infrastructure housed in a highly secure, on-premises, highly reliable, Tier III class data centre using fully redundant systems. Clients can chose to manage their own VMs or virtual infrastructure or engage EIS to manage the environment for them.

Server / Software Provisioning

The Server / Software Provisioning service offering provisions virtual machines with software installed to the client’s specifications. This service is provided by the ITS Private Cloud team in the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions Hardware Infrastructure Group (EIS-HIG).

UTORrecover

The UTORrecover service offering is a professionally managed backup solution which can be used to backup servers applications such as databases or Exchange. The only requirement is that the client system must belong to the University and be on a University of Toronto network. There is no restriction or the type of hardware, OS, or amount of data to be backed up.
