The Licensed Software Office (LSO) negotiates and manages software license agreements to reduce costs for the University. Software is available for purchase by U of T students, faculty, and staff, though access varies depending on each vendor’s licensing terms.

Software can be purchased online through the following methods:

  1. software.utoronto.ca – Personal or lab purchases using a credit card
  2. uSOURCE – Departmental purchases using an FIS account

Off-Campus Access Requirement:
To access software.utoronto.ca when off campus, users must connect through UTORvpn
